Questions people ask

Do these codes work if I already have a netcup account?

No. netcup only accepts these vouchers on a customer's first order. If you signed up years ago and forgot, that counts too.

A code didn't work. What now?

Most likely someone used it a few minutes before you, or it's for a different product. Try the next code for the same server, or use the 5 EUR code, which isn't single-use. There's a longer checklist in how to redeem a netcup voucher.

Should I pick a VPS or a root server?

A VPS shares CPU cores with other customers. A root server gives you dedicated cores. For a few web apps and a reverse proxy, a VPS is plenty. For game servers, CI or busy databases, go for the root server. More detail in root server or VPS?

Is this the same as a netcup Gutschein?

Yes. Gutschein is just German for voucher. netcup is a German host, so you'll see both words. The codes work on netcup.com in any language, and there's a German version of this page too.

Where do the codes come from?

From my own netcup account. They're referral vouchers, so netcup pays me a small commission if you order with one. You pay the same discounted price either way, and it keeps this site running.
