Which VPS size should you get?
Buy for RAM and disk, not CPU. Most self-hosted apps sit idle most of the day, so they run out of memory or storage long before they're short on CPU. Docker with five or six small containers is usually happy on one of the smaller plans. Add databases, a Nextcloud or a media server and you'll want more RAM.
